Moving on from lockdown

Piggery Cottage has remained empty for the duration of lowdown, but as the guidelines are starting to relax we are looking forward to welcoming guests again.

For new bookings we have relaxed our cancellation policy so that you can confidently book your late summer/autumn break, knowing that you can cancel if your trip cannot go ahead. This applies to direct bookings and those via our third party partners Airbnb and Trip Advisor.

Visit our Covid-19 page for information about how we will keeping our guests safe during this continuing time of vigilance.

Time to freshen up

A gap between guests has enabled us to freshen up the paintwork. We have also listened to your feedback and replaced the bathroom basin with a larger one.

A few weeks ago we also replaced the sofa bed and bed mattress, both of which had started to lose their “spring” after accommodating many guests. We have worked out that since we opened Piggery Cottage over 500 people have stayed with us (from 250 bookings). That’s lots of people sitting on the sofa and sleeping in the bed!

Glorious summer

What a glorious summer we’ve had. Our guests have enjoyed some lovely hot days and warm evenings and been able to see the local area at its best.

Keeping the garden watered has been a challenge but the sunflowers have flourished.

Celebrating awards and certificates!

Last month (April 2017) we were delighted to be awarded Airbnb Superhost status for the 6th quarter in a row and now this month (May 2017) we have received a 2017 Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. We couldn’t have achieved this without our lovely guests and their complimentary reviews. Thanks to you all.

Happy Anniversary

Piggery Cottage has been welcoming guests for 12 months now. We couldn’t have wished for a better first 12 months. We are closing the cottage for business for a week in the middle June to redecorate. We will be up and running again as soon as possible.
